Project type
multimedia, concrete, metal, wood installation
This installation reflects the loss of memories over time and the sadness that comes from how distant those cherished moments have become. The sea, for me, has always represented happiness—times when my family would gather, free from conflict, filled with laughter, fun, and joyful interactions, in stark contrast to the everyday challenges we faced as a family.
The boat in this piece symbolizes my childhood playground, while the faces represent me drowning in the fog of time, as memories blur with each passing day. My use of metal, concrete, and wood is intentional, symbolizing the coldness and sadness of decay and waste, as well as the hardships we endure. This combination of materials reflects the emotional weight of time, loss, and the fading of once-vivid moments.
